An HOA installed a license plate reader because of crime. Some people don't like it.
I helped this horned toad over the curb on Triana Street. It's the first one I've seen here.
FedEx emptied their trash in our can today. In addition to food scraps and trash they left route sheets with customer names, addresses, phone numbers and maps. This happened a few years ago. I’ll bring it to their attention again. I didn’t expect it to happen again because their management seemed to take it seriously. I wonder how often this happens.
Not the worst of it, but you’ll get the idea. It isn’t as bad as the extended irrigation sessions or the abandoned areas.
The response from the HOA regarding their irrigation and the damage, "This item of correspondence will also be placed in the Homeowner Correspondence Section on Board of Directors May 15th.Open Meeting Agenda."
They provide no information. They put it on the agenda for the meeting one month from now, not tomorrow's meeting. Effectively, it's not on the agenda. When they get to the agenda item Homeowner Correspondence they don't cover anything I submit. In the meetings, President Scott Kiefner simply tells the other board members they should read the correspondence.
This is the usual game and part of the reason I bring up issues in the Homeowner Forum portion of the meeting. They wouldn't have Homeowner Forum, but the Open Meetings Act requires it. This helps give every homeowner the opportunity to know what's happening. And every homeowner is responsible, in part, for the actions of this HOA.
That's not to say they won't discuss it privately.Note that they say, "it will also be placed in the Homeowner Correspondence Section...Open Meeting Agenda."Someone slipped with copy/paste.They will likely discuss it as a legal matter in private session, which is appropriate, but there is no reason they can't explain what is being done with this and other issues.
Water is still seeping down the slope but slowing. More damage has appeared in other places along the wall. This was avoidable if the Sky Ranch HOA took action. They have yet to even respond to communication.
This 10 second video taken Thursday night (Friday morning actually) gives an idea of the waste. The photo below, taken Saturday shows water still seeping out of the ground. Unfortunately, because it is saturated the water is moving underground downhill towards our home. It may run tonight.
HOA does not reply or even acknowledge receipt of email. No reply to phone call.
Another 8 hours of irrigation leaves water standing against a wall, and who knows what at the foundation of the house.
