Fact Check HOA Meeting 01-23-2025

Our climate is not the same as the Arizona desert.

The HOA landscape was neglected before the drought (see Google map photos). Additionally, HOA land has irrigation.

The drought water restrictions had no impact. The HOA has no ornamental lawns. The HOA has no land that gets irrigated so frequently that it had to be restricted. There were exemptions to the water restrictions.

Chris Andre motioned to ratify the insurance renewal after some discussion. It became apparent that it was theater for the homeowners in attendance because the board had already approved it via email. The property manager only explained the prior approval when Dave Quinsey asked the difference between approval and ratification, which was the motion by Chris Andre. A better approach would have been to explain it at the outset.
